No More Kathmandu Blues

No more Kathmandu blues as we woke up to an email from Qatar airlines saying our bags had arrived. Immediately our spirits were lifted and we rushed straight to the airport to collect our much loved packs. The Nepalese baggage claim attendants took us into a locked storage room and the first bags we lay eyes on our ours. You’d think we had just won the Price is Right with the amount of excitement we expressed.

Nepalese man: Points to bags, “Yes?”
Kim: Jumping up and down and trying to hug everyone in immediate proximity “OUR BAGS, OUR BAGS, OUR BAGS! Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!”
Nepalese men: laughing and holding me back as I try to hug them: “Ohh berry appy time mame. Yes.”

I guess public display of affection is somewhat frowned upon here, but I couldn’t help my excitement. God is so good!

All of our stuff was thankfully still in our packs and we are now getting ready to head up into the mountain town of Pokhara. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us! This is truly a blessing.

Hooray for clean clothes!!!
